I know the server's been a little dead for the past while. I apologize for my absence, life is keeping me occupied elsewhere so I haven't had the time to pay much attention to the server, however, I was discussing the possibility of bringing some life back into our server. I'm not sure exactly what we can do to make this happen, but that's why I'm here now.
I don't think I'll have much time in the near future to give the server the attention it needs, so I've been thinking about this a bit and I think what I need is a couple people who are willing to help out. A few more reliable staff members would be a big step in the right direction, so what I would like is to have staff members dedicated to a single job within the server. I'll post a couple staff positions at the end of this post, however, I wouldn't mind hearing some suggestions/opinions. What do you guys think the server needs to make it more interesting or appealing?
-I know removing the whitelist is a popular idea, but I feel that would impact the server negatively, at least at this moment.
The whitelist can always be turned off if we can come up with a good solution.
Currently I'm looking for people to do the following:
Advertising/Whitelisting: Writing up a welcoming description of our server and posting it in the various gaming/minecraft related sites, possibly an application, and adding people to the whitelist.
Event Coordinators: Coming up with weekly events or builds for the community.
Moderators:Simply being around to roll back any griefs that may occur or help solve any problems our members might have.
If anyone is interested, it's simple to apply. Just send me a pm and expain why you would do well in the position you'd like. Giving examples would help as well.
Anyways, yeah. I'd like to hear everyones opinions and hopefully soon we'll start seeing our server grow once again.
